Our Story
Walking through the grey or tan-colored walls of state departments the realization came that our system had lots of issues. With a low budget, underpaid and overworked employees and a strenuous (mainly mentally) daily routine – it was evident that motivation derived itself from involvement with clients, the vivid changes and growth of their families and the rewarding community involvement. Nevertheless, state employees all lacked one thing to be able to keep going – TIME.
NOA Counseling, LLC was founded in February of 2014 in an effort to feed a big dog named House Bill 463. HB463, among other things, mandates – rightfully so, the evaluation of current programs (it’s effectiveness) and implementation of more evidence based programs within Corrections in an effort to rehabilitate a part of society that is eventually due to return to the neighborhoods of “the outside”.
And so our journey began to effortlessly seek and provide that which will effectively and appropriately rehabilitate and bring those imprisoned back to society. In order to lead across the bridge, one must understand the way to do it. We do it with MRT and Interactive Journaling…
